These are common questions new patients ask...
Q: How long does the first appointment take, and what is involved?
A: Approximately 40 minutes. Please arrive 5 minutes early to complete paperwork. The form can be download in advance (see below). The first visit includes a chief complaint exam, a review of findings, a chiropractic treatment, and sometimes additional therapies.
Q: What techniques does Dr. Arbor use?
A: Dr. Arbor uses a gentle diversified technique on a drop table that helps the adjustments release easier and with less pressure. The degree of pressure depends upon the individual patient. Sometimes, she uses other techniques like Impulse, Activator and Blocking, which she can describe to you, if needed for your care.
Q: Will Dr. Arbor listen to me and answer my questions?
A: Dr. Arbor has a genuine concern for your wellbeing and she takes the time to answer your questions.
Q: Does Dr. Arbor have different ways of adjusting my neck?
A: Yes, She has about 4 different ways to adjust the neck and can share these different ways with you. There is even a non-rotational very lite technique for those who get nervous about having their neck turned or don't care for the sound of the neck adjustment.
Q: How often will I need to come in for my current problem?
A: Most new patients start to feel some relief  within 1-2 visits, and more complete relief within 4-6 treatments. Treatments are usually on a weekly basis. As always, some people may need a little more time for their natural healing.
Q: How much will my first appointment cost, and do you accept insurance?
A: We are in-network with most insurance companies. We offer time of service discounts for those who don't have or use insurance. Co-pays vary; however, our time of service discount fees for the first visit range from $90.00 - $125.00, with follow-up visits averaging $45.00 - $55.00.
Q: Does Dr. Arbor require x-rays?
A: Not necessarily; however, sometimes conditions require that x-rays be taken, such as scoliosis, osteoporosis, motor vehicle accidents, or problems that don't respond to chiropractic care. If you have x-rays, please bring them with you
Q: Does Dr. Arbor run on time?
A: Yes
Q: Is Dr. Arbor a full spine adjuster, and can she evaluate and adjust shoulders, arms, legs, and feet?
A: Yes; however, some patients prefer to have only certain areas adjusted. This can be discussed with her during your visit.
Q: Does Dr. Arbor treat children?
A: Yes, kids are welcomed at Arbor Chiropractic. They are generally easy to adjust and respond very quickly to care.
Q: Does Dr. Arbor have a holistic approach?
A: Yes. Once your initial symptoms lessen, chiropractic treatments are a great way to help maintain the body's natural balance and wellness.
